This photo is a carving I was inspired through the essence of these ohia trees. This dual tree was cleared for a space to place a dwelling. She spoke to me when I saw her and so I asked what message does she have to say. A'O is the day of the living when all things are alive with life. I carved with the ancient language of kaona. Expression speaks with no, words only interpretation of the senses. The dualness is Ku and Hina. The rising and the going down of the day. Both express A'O.
