"Yeah, although this site isn't as popular and needs some cleaning up, I prefer discussing in these forum boards instead of the other Avatar forum sites. I have realised that the people in here are much more mature, knowledgeable, and wise. "He's of course talking about me. I'm a wise-ass. :D Do you find this valuable? |

It's alright, I'll take the plaudits, thank you.Okay, so quite rightly said, and repeated in every other threads, there's a lot of sensible deliberation going on around this 'lesser known place', and the best part is that the owners of this forum isn't even trying to monetize their initial efforts by making our names Gold and Bold or anything like that. It's all good, simple, serene and sensible here. Not to mention, plenty of 'Evi n (love/affection/adoration) going around too. Do you find this valuable? |

hey even tho no one has been on this for a while i just wanted to ask if anyone felt like they were actually fighting in the war with the Na'Vi. i was like getting pumped up for the Na'Vi to win and was really into it.

"Absolutely Alex, most of us feel that very way. When I watch the movie I feel like I'm right there experiencing things as they are happening. I become totally immersed in it. How can you not? EVERY TIME I watch it and it comes to the part where Jake and Tsu'tey are giving the pump up speech "This, this is our land!" I get shivers. Every time.

I also left the theater happy and sad. I also had a sense of longing to live in their world. Its really stupid...this is just a MOVIE, but yet, it stirred feelings in me, sadness that the human race has become so shallow - the pursuit of consumerism, the rape of our own land, the total lack of spirituality, the arrogance of entitlement. I also kept comparing it to the story of Pocahantas and John Smith :) I know that there will be a sequel where the humans come back with force-- but I hope that the next movie is mostly about the Na'vi way of life, I want to know more about them and less of the world I already know too well.

"I'm equally annoyed at the people crying about some kind of racism that they are seeing in this movie. Some idiot was quoted as saying "It rests on the assumption that non-whites need the White Messiah to lead their crusades." Um, I don't know if he noticed, but ALL of the Na'vi are blue, Avatars included. Like Honorguard is saying, watch the movie, take it in and quit reading into it looking for something to complain about."If that is the case (white messiah leading the crusade), then it would be just Jake in Jake's white disabled body taking up the banner. But it was Jake--one of the Na'vi people who led them. If you avoid the movie because of the messages, you miss the whole point....the movie IS the message--there are so many messages if you listen. Remember "You cannot fill a cup that is full". Do you find this valuable? |

Im trying to get my parents to let me watch it again but we have 5 people in our family and we all want to watch it so pretty expensive. After i left the theathre I was like "Wow, best movie i have ever seen" People say the "tecnology" is only good but i think the story line is better. Ii just cant stop thinking about Avatar. I wish i could always be realted with Avatar thats why i came to this site. I feel more better dicussing this with people.
