"I've heard the movie resembled up to 12 different stories. In fact in highschool I remember reading a series of short stories in english class that included a parpalegic that was given a blue alien body to help explore a new planet. At the end of the story his human body died and he was fully within his new alien body. This was well before 2003. It's entirely possible JC never read Bishops Gait and pulled from various influences that he'd grown up with."
